NeedLock Features
Currently NeedLock supports the following list of features. We grouped them in categories for easier navigation and reference. The system is being constantly updated, so don't forget to periodically come back and check for updates! The following groups of features are available:

Registration
- Registering new accounts can be temporarily disabled by administrator.
- Optional use of Authorization Codes to activate accounts.
- Optional facility to approve / reject new registrations.
- Optional notification of all new registrations can be sent to administrator via email.
- Ban use of certain words as new Usernames.
- Format check for all input fields.
Membership Management
- Edit member profile - change password (automatic password generation available), real name and e-mail address.
- Password recovery facility.
- View accessible directories.
NeedLock Administration
- View / Edit / Remove Administrators.
- Registration of a new Administrator (set username, e-mail, password, admin access level and interface language).
NeedLock supports five administrator access levels, level 1 being the highest administration level with full operating permissions; level 5 being the lowest administration level.

Statistics
- Monitor member activity - number of visits, IP address, browser information, and language.
- Sorting by username, number of visits, IP address, user agent, language.
Logging System
- The log tool allows to track system events via keeping record of the last 30 entries.
- View recording date, time, admin ID, and brief description of the event.
Member Control Panel
- Registration of a new member (set username, password, real name, email and interface language).
- Search member account by username, real name or email.
- Edit / Remove / Suspend / Ban member accounts.
- Temporarily disable new registrations feature.
- Optional activate account feature (the user receives authentication codes to complete the registration process).
- Optional notification of all new registrations (sent to administrator via email).
- Edit member profile information (real name, registration date, account expiration date, email, interface language, member accessible directories).
- Set session expiration time to automatically close a session if the member or administrator is idle during a set period of time.
- Optional approve / decline registration feature.
- Optional default .htpasswd user (set default .htpasswd username and password).
- Set forbidden login usernames (e.g., admin, administrator, NeedLock etc).
System Configuration
- Change global system status (online / offline).
- Specify the offline message displayed while the system is offline.
- Configure global system settings (site name, main system URL and path, images URL and path, top HTA directory).
- Configure settings for cookies, SQL database, mailing program, protected / unprotected directories, member preferences.
Extra Features
- Multi-language support: English and Russian interfaces are available. Other languages on demand.
- CSV import / output / send (transfer) of a selected .htpasswd file.
